Beadlam, York.

Wow, this wonderful farm shop and bistro is a joy. Based just outside Helmsley, this is a mixed farm of around 300 acres. The converted barn is split between the bistro seating areas and the farm shop.
The shop sells breads, cakes, confectionary and fresh meats from their butchery, along with a delicatessen and greengrocery. An independent business – Gifts & Interiors for Countryfolk – selling dried flowers, gifts and cards.

With seating inside and out (wooden picnic benches), the bistro is fully licensed and serves breakfast, lunch, cakes, drinks and Sunday roasts, although probably best to book a table for this. The whole area has a fantastic atmosphere with original farm implements including a feeding trough (all clean I have to say). Along with individual seating booths, you will find a lovely toddler play area, clean toilets and a dog friendly seating area.
A warm welcome upon arrival, lovely food and good prices. Not to mention the yummy cakes that were available, and we were lucky enough to be kept company by their sweet old resident dog.

Outside, attached to the barn is a unisex hair salon.
Your visit will leave you wanting to return, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
