Harker, Carlisle

This cosy, warm and inviting coffee shop can be found on the site of an old garden centre. When entering the drive, you will find several free parking areas and various small businesses with new units being built/decorated. At present there is a dog grooming parlour, caravan repairs, timber office and beauty/massage business.

We have eaten at the coffee shop twice and on both occasions enjoyed nice food, enjoyable atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices. A lovely log burner welcomes you into the shop and at the time of our visit, was very busy and we were offered a table in the delightful conservatory. There are also tables outside, but in February it was far too cold! Doggies are welcomed.
The menu ranges from breakfasts, lunches and light bites and the restaurant is also licensed. The display of yummy cakes tempted, but on this occasion, we resisted, doesn’t happen too often these days. Both times we have visited there have been lots of people, so if you have a large party, it would be prudent to book. Our lunch consisted of three coffees, sandwiches and chips and cost £27.75.
Hubby enjoyed a massage at the Holistic Beauty Lounge, two minutes’ walk away, while I enjoyed my coffee and waited for him to join me. Very nice experience, clean toilets, will return.
