Penrith, Cumbria.

This unassuming café sits neatly in New Squares and is a gem of a find. It’s not glitzy, swanky or flashy, it just offers plain honest to goodness home cooked food. The staff are all friendly and informative and go the extra mile to accommodate any fussy eaters, and the prices we think, are very competitive, that and the fact the portion sizes are extremely generous.

The café is clean and warm with boards around the walls displaying specials and yummy cakes. The coffee is good and always comes with a delectable shortbread. Yum yum.
Four-legged friends are very welcome inside along with your well behaved two legged darlings and for the hardy amongst us there are tables outside. You are probably thinking this is a short review blog, but to be honest there isn’t much more I can say, except treat yourself and pop in when in the area. You won’t be disappointed.
