Willows Café & Bistro

Drayton, Norwich.

This wonderful café is pure delight. Always busy and buzzing with a great atmosphere. Expect to receive a friendly welcome as you walk in, you will find this eatery repeatedly packed, so booking may be something to consider. Over two floors and beautifully decorated with fairy lights in each room, this delicious café offers great food which includes breakfasts and lunches, catering for children, vegetarians and those with gluten intolerances.

Upon entering you will walk past scrummy cakes on display and I defy anyone not to drool as they pass (I put Homer Simpson to shame believe me). There are two rooms upstairs, one of which caters for families, supplying toys, various child booster seats and a secure stairgate to prevent your little Houdini from escaping. Hubby and I both had jacket potato with chunky beef chilli. I frequently order a jacket spud and am quite often disappointed to find it boring and dry, but not on this occasion. The inside of the potato was light, white and fluffy, and the chilli was amazing with the beef so tender, thoroughly recommended, followed by coffee and the obligatory cake! (Unfortunately, my camera decided to go on strike and deleted the photo of my lunch, grrrr)! We found the prices reflected the above average produce. They also offer Sunday roasts – when we next visit our youngest daughter, who lives nearby, we will definitely be booking our table.
